How to Get on & off the Bus

  • Change will not be given. Please prepare small coins before getting on the bus.
  • Kyoto City Buses are generally light green in color. (some buses may have special paint jobs)

Get on the bus through the REAR door and get off the bus through the FRONT door.The fare is paid when Getting OFF the bus.

  • The operational hours and the number of operating buses will differ depending on the route. For further information, please look at the timetable of each route.
  • Kyoto City Bus Timetable

Fare

  • Flat Fare Zone: Adult 230 yen (Child 120 yen)
    Non-Flat Fare Zone: Fare will differ depending on the route.
  • The "Subway & Bus 1-Day Pass" is available for 1,100 yen (adult). This ticket will allow you to ride the Kyoto City Bus(all routes), the Kyoto City Subway(all lines), the Kyoto bus(excluding certain routes) , the Keihan bus(excluding certain routes) and the West Japan JR Bus (excluding certain lines) as many times as you want for a duration of the day.Subway & Bus 1-Day Pass
  • Aside from cash, the following methods of payment are available:

    • One-Day Ticket (such as the Subway & Bus 1-Day Pass)
    • IC Card (such as PiTaPa, ICOCA, Suica, & PASMO)
    • Other valid Tickets
