How to Get on & off the Bus
- Kyoto City Buses are generally light green in color. (some buses may have special paint jobs)
It depends on the route.
Sightseeing Limited Express Bus EX100, EX101
Get on the bus through the FRONT door and get off the bus through the REAR door.The fare is paid when Getting ON the bus.
Other bus routes
Get on the bus through the REAR door and get off the bus through the FRONT door.The fare is paid when Getting OFF the bus.

Fare
- Flat Fare Zone (excluding Sightseeing Limited Express Bus) : Adult 230 yen (Child 120 yen)
Sightseeing Limited Express Bus EX100, EX101 : Adult 500 yen (Child 250 yen)
Non-Flat Fare Zone: Fare will differ depending on the route. - The "Subway & Bus 1-Day Pass" is available for 1,100 yen (adult). This ticket will allow you to ride the Kyoto City Bus(all routes), the Kyoto City Subway(all lines), the Kyoto bus(excluding certain routes) , the Keihan bus(excluding certain routes) and the West Japan JR Bus (excluding certain lines) as many times as you want for a duration of the day.Subway & Bus 1-Day Pass

Aside from cash, the following methods of payment are available:
- One-Day Ticket (such as the Subway & Bus 1-Day Pass)
- IC Card (such as ICOCA, Suica, PASMO, & PiTaPa)
- Other valid Tickets
