How to Read the Route & Fare Chart

Example: from Kyoto Station to Nijo-jo Castle.
Departing Station: Kyoto Station
Arriving Station: Nijo-jo mae Station

1Find your current location.

The 当駅(toueki) and the red circle indicate the station you are currently at.

2Find the station that you wish to go to.

The number on top is the adult fare and the one below it is the child fare.

3Purchase your ticket at the ticket machines.

Purchase the ticket that corresponds with the amount of fare required for your destination.
