Monet Exhibition from the Collection of Marmottan Monet Museum: From “Impression, Sunrise” to “Water Lilies”

March 1 (Tuesday) – May 8 (Sunday)

Monet, the master of Impressionism, fixed the changing movements of light and atmosphere on the canvas. The exhibition focuses on the essence of Monet’s art in approximately 90 paintings through from his “Impression, Sunrise”, which was the origin of the term “Impressionism” to his “Water Lilies” and “Bridge over a Pond of Water Lilies” of his late years. The Marmottan Monet Museum is where the artist bequeathed many of his remaining works at hand. Exhibits include a portrait of the artist’s family and satirical pictures drawn around the time of his late teens that are exemplary in the museum’s collection.
