Kyoto City started a trial sale of the "KANSAI ONE PASS," the integrated traffic pass in the Kansai region for international visitors since April 2016. the pass has been sold very well and it has been available regularly from April 2017. Users can travel by trains and now buses within the area where ICOCA (traffic pass) is valid with this one pass. The pass holders can receive discount or privilege at approx. 200 places including shops in the Kansai International Airport. The price of the pass has reduced to 2,000 yen for the users' sake.

"Kyoto City Cycle Website," the Website about Bicycles Has Been Renewed
The website, "Kyoto City Cycle Website," about bicycles has been renewed. The former website simply provided bicycle parking search and information about removal of illegally parked bicycles. The new one presents wider range of information such as rental bicycle services, bicycle insurances, traffic rules and manners, and more. The bicycle parking search has become more convenient as users can search a parking depending on the accepted bicycle types and opening hours. The website is also accessible with smartphones and tablets. The website will offer better information about bicycle use for citizens and tourists.

"Kyoto City Global Warming Provision Plan (YR 2011-2020)" Revised
Kyoto is the city where Kyoto Protocol was advocated. As the environmentally advanced city, Kyoto City aims to take a pioneering role in this field and has worked hard on the issue based on the "Kyoto City Global Warming Provision Plan (YR 2011-2020)." The plan has been revised recently. In order to achieve the goal of reducing energy consumption by 2020, the plan focuses on the provisions especially on the household and business field where energy consumption quantity has been increasing. The city encourages an environmentally friendly lifestyle by introducing prevalence of energy saving appliances and buildings.
Also, in order to achieve the international goal advocated in the Paris Agreement, the city will develop the medium/long term project called "The Road to Project Zero" which foresees achievement of the low carbon society by 2030.

The Second Term Kyoto Culture and Art Creation City Plan Formulated (Planned period: 2017-2027)
Kyoto City has always tries to offer an idealistic environment for creating new culture by assimilating all municipal fields such as industry, tourism and education, having rich culture and art as a core. In order to achieve this goal, the city has formulated the Second Term Kyoto Culture and Art Creation City Plan. 132 plans and projects will be taken in the next 10 years, for example, promotion of cultures nurtured by local community and promotion of traditional entertainment cultures.
